Christmas update

Christmas was great! My Mom is here til Saturday. We got a kick ass vaccum from my Dad and Stepmom. A new camera from Mom.

New cell phones for us, although Mr. H's needs to be sent back already. I got this one, and he got this one. My best friend was awesome to us as usual, and still wants to do more.

The kids got spoiled of course, that's half the fun.

I have been sick w/ the crud again, but I only have to work tomorrow for 1/2 day and that is it. We will have the birthday party here on Friday for Steph. Now to just get the house cleaned before then.

Grama and Rylee are baking cookies right now and watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

We never did Zoo Lights, but may go Thursday night.

That's about it for now.

Oh just one more thing, by far the best Christmas present ever although it would have been much better if I had witnessed, was one of my Moms stepsons almost being tasered by the cops
because he was belligerent and they had the wrong kid. Karma's a bitch!

RIP Sandy Elaine Lett Duke Owen

Phillips Momma did pass away this morning. She held on long enough for him to get there and be w/ her and talk to her, but finally gave up her fight this morning at 319am.

Phillip is still in Kansas and am not sure of his return at this time.

Love you Philly!

My brother from another Mother (and Father)

This is mainly for Brig, who doesn't yet know - Phillip will not even see this until he returns to Phoenix. Phillips Mom and step dad were in a car accident yesterday. The prognosis for Sandy is not good. We were up til 3am this morning talking and everytime he called the hospital there was no change, she is still hanging in there, but they can't stop the bleeding and had already given her 12 units of blood. Her hip is broken and swelling as well. Jeff (her husband) and Phillip have decided she will be DNR and no life support. This is very hard for my best friend, and any prayers for him and his Mom would be great. I took him to the airport this morning to catch an 11am flight to Wichita, he should arrive around 520pm and head straight to the hospital. I will update as I know more.

Phillip-
I really wish I could be there with you right now to help you through whatever happens. I know I was trying to keep everything light and not sad last night. I know for all your Mom's faults, she is still your Mother and it would be a terrible loss to you even though it hadn't yet sunk in. I love you my friend and will do whatever I can to help you.

Ciao baby

I am off to Bologna tomorrow morning. Some 15 hours later I will arrive. 2 full days there and then some 15 hours home. I'll talk w/ you all Friday. If you must reach me, text me, as calling me is much more expensive, even to check my voice mail.

Love you!

Ciao!

Found out some more Italy info.

-We are going to tour a Lamborghini Factory

-We are going to dine w/ royalty in her Palais - some countess who throws parties for other royalty

-touring around to some different vineyards

-taking a class in a local cafe on making pasta and tortellini

November is supposed to be the rainiest month, so hopefully it will be ok.

Update

Week 5 of my weight management class and I have lost 19 pounds so far.

I have been cheating this week though as we had hotels and airlines in all week at work w/ food, and I can't pass up free food.

The lady from Air France was in, and I asked if she was going w/ us to Bologna, and she is. She told me that there will only be 4 of us flying out of LA on Air France. What that means to me is a really good chance of flying in Business Class, since there are only 4 of us and we are flying w/ the Air France representative. No guarantees of course, and I don't want to get too excited, but it sure would beat flying in coach!

I still need to check the weather and start making lists of what I should pack. Need to get that credit card paid down so I have plenty of spending money to get souvenirs, everything else is paid for.

In 1 month I will be in Italy. Soon, they should start coming out w/ trips for next year, don't know how soon I'll sign up for one again. It will have to be one I really want.

Monday, Monday

Hey butt cheeks what's up? Nothing much here. Had the oh so fun birthday party for my nephew on Saturday. Never again!

Today, Rylee and I were supposed to go to The Little Gym for a trial class, but she actually slept past 8am, and I didn't set an alarm, since she hasn't been sleeping past 8am. She woke up at 930, so we missed the class.

We watched Willy Wonka in my bed. Ok, she watched, I napped.

We went to lunch w/ Uncle Philip at Mimi's, and now it is nap time for her.

I go to chiro today, then Curves, then home to hang w/ Mary and Phillip if he gets up before he goes to work.

ITALY!!!!

For those that don't already know (Brig) I am going to Italy in November.

I am flying on Air France to Bologna, and staying in a single room at The Grand Hotel Baglioni.

That is really all the details I have right now. It is only 1 hotel which is great, so there will be more city sightseeing and wine tasting at some local vineyards hopefully.

I do complain about hating my job, but these trips I am "required" to take once a year, and the 6 weeks vacation I previously mentioned, oh and the over 1000.00 savings I get to take my whole family to Disneyland once a year, and my hand picked by me schedule, is why I stay at a job I hate. You take the good, you take the bad.......

Great friends!

Todd and Steph were here all day - helping us out once again! You guys rock!

We needed to move our 2 heavy dressers from our room. 1 went to Taylors room and the other to Ginger. We are getting 1/2 of our new bedroom furniture tomorrow and needed to clear out our room. The other half is still on layaway. I can't wait. I haven't had a matching bedroom set since I was a kid.

3 gigantic trash bags are full of Mr. H's clothes that were strewn all over the room. Funny, because he never wears most of those clothes. You all know he wears the same old stuff day in and day out.

The wonderful soon to be Mr. Stephi also helped out greatly in getting our pool back to great working condition so we could all swim tonight after some yummy grilled steaks by my sweetie!

Tomorrow I need to pay for Mr. H's truck registration. Go to Ry's new pre-school and turn in the rest of her paperwork and make my first payment for the school year. She is so excited to go to school. Momma's gonna cry like a baby though. Luckily, I'll have my Momma here to cry right along w/ me on that first day. Then I have to take Taylor to the doc for just a check up. Once Mr. H gets home, I get to finally go to chiropractor - I have missed the last 2 weeks, and I need it. Meet at Curves for our workout, all meet up here to go to the new Cabelas that just opened.

I still have to get the rest of the playroom, organized and pack up alot of toys that she doesn't really play with anymore. Maybe someday Mr. Stephi can come back and "ground that cable" or whatever he was talking about so his precious Ry can have cable in her playroom. ( She would love that Uncle Todd!)

Love you guys and thanks so much for all your help!

Yeah

So my Mommy went home again. We had a great time while she was here. Not too many arguments. She took the kids computer home for her husband to fix as it is so slow and crappy.

She got us memberships to the Phoenix Zoo and the Arizona Science center. We went to the Science Center the Saturday before she left and had a great time. We did the planetarium and the Imax movie about the coral reef. There is a zoo update on Rysters blog already.

Going back to work really sucks after having 10 days off. Especially knowing I don't have much more time to take off for the rest of the year. I have Ry's first day of pre-school, Thanksgiving day, and then about 1 week and 1/2 at xmas. I can't really complain as I do get a ridiculous amount of vacation time every year. Plus it is my 10th year this year, so I got an extra week. Plus, I buy a week every year, so I got like 6 1/2 weeks vacation - I just can't believe it's mostly gone already. I suck!

I got a really cool DVD recorder to record all my pics and home movies to DVD. I had started wanting a new camcorder that records onto DVD's, then we found this that will allow me to record my movies already on VHS, like my wedding and Ry's birth onto DVD, so I went w/ that instead. Of course, it isn't as easy as they say and all I have figured out how to do is pics to DVD, but I am still working on it. My next purchase will be a new digital camera.

Going to Curves and really loving it. Had to go by myself last week as Diva wasn't feeling well, and I only got to go twice instead of the usual 3, because this other location that said they were open late enough for me to go SUCKS and they were rude and I won't go there EVER even if they were open 24/7.

So, Taylor went to Pump it Up yesterday for his other little sisters birthday party. Silly boy thought it would be wise to listen to the dumbass teenagers who worked there and told him it was ok to 'surf' down the big slides. Came home w/ his foot twice the size of normal and is currently at Urgent Care w/ Dad to make sure it isn't fractured.

That's really all for now, I think I will take Ry swimming and then take a nap!

***EDIT - Update*** The foot is fractured. Just a very small fracture, Urgent Care wrapped it and sent him home w/ crutches. Now we just have to hope his Mother really takes him this week to follow up w/ doc.

My birthday week

My Mommy got in Friday night and we got some burgers at Freddy's Steakburgers and came home. Unloaded all the dill pickle dip into the fridge. YUMMY!!

Saturday we got up and all went out to breakfast. We then went to Wal-Mart to look at birthday gifts for my cousins 2 boys. We couldn't find much so they are just getting cash instead. We came home, put Ry down for nap and then Mom and I went a did a little shopping. I got 2 cute sundresses, some shirts and some exercise pants and some tank tops. Oh and 3 pairs of shoes, all on sale! We then came home and went swimming. Ate dinner and after Grama gave Ry her bubble bath and bedtime story we watched "Freedomland". Then bedtime. David still had a movie he wanted to watch on the bigscreen so Mom was going to sleep w/ me until David came to bed, and of course he fell asleep on the couch so I had the sounds of snoring all night long.

Today, so far only me and Rylee are up. We have a birthday party to go to. A trip to Sams or Costco to get the goods for our BBQ tomorrow. We'll also be looking at a new camera for me.

Monday is the BBQ, but before that we have to go back to court because the bitch inspector says she cannot dismiss it even though the judge told us she could. Then we have to go to curves and hopefully get naps in before BBQ time.

Tuesday, nothing planned so far except for fireworks at night.

OMG

Once upon time there was a sweet little boy who was physically abused by his stepfather. Choked until all the blood vessels in his little eyes burst. Marks on his back from being shoved against the wall. Some of you have seen the pics. Today I ran across the idiots myspace and here is an excerpt from his interests....

wow. a lot. my kids, my wife, my family and friends. my ministry to the wvccc, where i do an outreach to the children there that have been victims of abuse, neglect, abandonment...or all 3!

Good thing I wasn't drinking anything at the time or it would have come out of my nose from laughing so hard. I wonder if said ministry knows of his past abusing children!

Weekend update

Friday night - Mr. H had a friend over when I got home. They ran to Frys Electronics for some cable for something or other. We all had leftover spaghetti for dinner. Mr H then consented to watch 'Under the Tuscan Sun' w/ me. Ok movie.

Saturday - Mr. H's day to sleep in. I was up by 830 w/ the Ryster. We played and watched TV, finally at noon I decided he had slept enough and we needed to run to Sams Club for our afternoon bbq. We took showers and headed to Sams, did our shopping, came home. Diva and family came over as well as some other friends of Mr. H and their 2 boys. I was just in a foul mood most of the day and then got a headache on top of it. Rob joined us much later after all the swimming was done.

The lack of communication between those two is a crack up. Mr. H told me at Sams that Rob wouldn't be over for a few hours, Rob's version is that Mr. H was supposed to call him back, and never did. When I mentioned to Rob that Mr. H had said he wouldn't be over for a few hours, he said no, that he would be out doing errands for a few hours. The difference? I haven't figured it out. Just glad he made it over and I was able to pick on him. I love you man!

Everybody left about 800 and we ran to Target to get Mr. H a MP3 player so he can have music at work. He also got a nice new watch, but the band is way too big. Got Ry some new 'dancing' shoes and some cute jeans, and me nothing. Came home put Ry to bed, he played w/ his MP3 and I watched 'In Her Shoes' Different than what I thought it would be.

Sunday - my day to sleep in. That lasted til about 1030 w/ only 2 or 3 interruptions for Ry. I don't know why Daddy can sleep all he wants and not get disturbed, but I have to get popped in on every so often. I can't really complain, as most of the times she came running in - "mommy, mommy, I need a hug." Who can refuse?

Total lazy day. I had a work picnic to go to, but after my also very interrupted nap, I said forget it and we stayed home. There goes 14 bucks, but I don't care. Mr> H ran to the store to get us some steak and came home and grilled them for us. Yummy. We then watched some movie I had never heard of, 'A Sound of Thunder' better than I figured it would be.

Now everyone is in bed except for me. I blogged and will now catch up on some shows I didn't watch yet and continue doing laundry.

Good night!

My weekend

-Drunken bowling was fun. Not nearly as much fun as when we went last time, but still fun.

-Wiggles was fun, by fun I mean it doesn't matter if I was bored out of my mind, which I wasn't, as long as the kids had fun.

-Tomorrow we are meeting friends at the park to feed the ducks and play. Then we will go get that cell phone and eat lunch and take naps. I am hoping for the nap anyway.

Later!

Drunken bowling part 2

Going bowling again tonight. Mr. H's friend from his old job is moving back to Idaho this weekend, so we are going bowling tonight. May not be as fun w/ just the 3 of us. Need to see if Rob wants to go still and we put a message into some friends in Prescott. I'll be drinking and bowling so I'll have fun anyway!

It's Taylors birthday weekend, his birthday is Tuesday, so he had a friend over last night and Mr. H is taking them to race go carts or something today. Still don't know what to get him, he doesn't need anything, and he can't even think of stuff he wants. We are still debating a cell phone. I only want to get him one because when school starts back up in the fall it is Jr. High/Middle School and it is further away across a major street. Still don't even know if he is bussing it to school or what. With a phone, he can call us or Grandma or his Mom if she is late. We still think he is too young for one though, so we are torn. It would just be a prepaid one anyway, nothing I would have to put out money every month for or anything.

Right now Mr. H is off to Home Depot to get some chlorine to clean this nasty pool. I will run to Costco when he gets back, for hopefully cheaper gas, some Dockers pants for his new job and some groceries. Then when I get back the boys can go play. Ry and I can have lunch and naps!

What a day!

Finally some progress

We did it! Well got a real good start anyway. The guys cleared everything out and organized Mr. H's workshop/tool area. Diva and I went through all the clothes and shoes, although 1 shoe is still missing and of course it is my absolute favorite Doc sandal ever! My other pair of Doc sandals ruined as well as 2 HUGE bags of clothes. Our garage flooded from the rain and the stuff got molded and trashed. Bummer, but less to sort through. Went through a bunch more boxes and threw stuff out. It is amazing the stuff that gets packed into boxes. It is not just me either, I know I didn't pack a mini pumpkin from God only knows when, that turned to dust. Still haven't found some books of Moviemans either.

We aren't finished - we were at it for more than 9 hours and still didn't get done. We have it all moved back in nicely with room to work now. At night, when the kids are in bed we can go out and go through stuff and get it all repacked into plastic tubs, in case it floods again. Get all the yard sale stuff in an area and get rid of it ASAP!

Today, when Mr. H gets up he needs to go get carpet cleaner form Home Depot and we need to clear out the living room and get carpet cleaned. Diva and family coming back over after church so Baron can help w/ setting the TV and everything back up on the new stand.

They are supposed to call tonight to set up delivery for my new living room. Will take pitures tomorrow!

Thursday, April 20, 2006

Change of plans

So when we got back from seeing baby Jack, there was a message saying the ottoman was in and to call back for delivery. I called and told them I didn't want the ottoman delivered until the couch was in and did they know when that might be. She didn't but said she'd get the saleperson to check for me. She then came back and said oh the couch is in too. GREAT! Deliver it all on Monday then.

We then decided instead of a rush trip to Magic Mountain we really should just stay home and get the house ready and clean for our pretty new living room!

Called the wrecking crew and they had a change of plans too, and aren't going to Payson this weekend after all, so Diva and The Baron will come help w/ the garage. Hopefully, we will actually get it done this time. :)

Now instead of spending money on our Magic Mountain weekend, I can get my stuff at Ikea for the TV and something for all the DVD's. We are going tomorrow if you want to join us!

I'm a slacker

I talked a friend at work into working for me, so I didn't have too. When Mr. H gets home we are going to get another free rental car and go see baby Jack, Thor and Genevas new baby. Tonight I have lots of laundry to do and get packed. Tomorrow I work for a whole 4 hours and then we are going to Magic Mountain. Grandma is watching Ryster and Taylor will be at his Moms. A weekend for just us. Then Monday, Mr. H and Rob start their new wonderful jobs!

I should get a shower in before Diva gets here....

Sunday, April 16, 2006

Happy Easter!

On the paddle boats at the park today! (Taylor was at his Moms)

It's huge

Here is our new TV. It is wonderful. We love it. 56 inches of viewing pleasure. Now that I posted this, I am wondering why. Those of you here, have already seen it, the other one doesn't care about tv's. Oh well.

I want to go to IKEA now and get something like this to put it on.

Monday, April 10, 2006

SWEET!

Mr. H may not even know yet, but he got a new way better job!!!!!!!

The guy called first thing this morning and left a message. I immediately called my honey and texted him the number, he hasn't called me back yet, so I don't know if he has talked to him yet. Talking to Diva though, this guy has already told The Baron that he is hiring both Rob and Mr. H. Rob already knows he has been hired, and apparently they will need to go in this afternoon to fill out paperwork!

This is going to be so awesome for our family! He'll be making almost 5 bucks more an hour, the health insurance is apparently awesome and super cheap. So I can stop paying about 150.00 a month for me and the kids at my work. We'll do our whole family it all on his for like 80.00 a month. Plus, Todd says the Lasik eye surgery is covered too, so I may not have to wait til next year for that. The best part is I can work less hours as soon as my work will let me!

I am going to go write up his 2 week notice so he can hand that in tomorrow!!

Sunday, April 09, 2006

Nothing much going on

Yesterday we went to try on bridal dresses for Diva. Uncle Todd stayed here w/ Ry and the boys. Very easy, mission accomplished. She already knew which one she wanted pretty much, so she tried on a whole 3 dresses. She then took us girls out for a drink. We had to go to 3 different places, before we got to one that would allow smoking. Yummy drink!

We then came back here to hang until Mr. H got home as they were going to help us start on the garage. By the time he got home at 8:00 and grilled us all some burgers we decided we were not getting to the garage as it was getting late and we were all tired. We'll start next weekend. We need to get it cleared out, everything sorted and piles for giveaway, yard sale, and I am sure there is just plenty of trash. He would like to just pitch everything in there, but I need to go through it. I have to go through it thinking if there was some disaster would I care if I never saw it again. I am such a pack rat. Most of the stuff was just moved from the last house so it has been packed in boxes for over 6 years now. Obviously, whatever is in there I am not missing.

Today I am supposed to go to Sam's Club and Costco to look at big screen tv's. First I wanted the pool resurfaced, but the guy hasn't called me back. Then I wanted to get a hot tub, but that is just too much work. We'd have to get an electrician out here to wire a new outlet, and Mr. H would have to build a deck in the spot we would put it. So, now we have decided to get a fancy new tv to go w/ our new couch that should be here soon.

That's my exciting weekend. Man, my blogs are BORING, but they are mainly for Brig's benefit as everyone else already knows what I am doing or have done.

Good times, with good friends

DRUNKEN BOWLING ALWAYS FUN

So, Friday night, Mr. H and I went bowling w/ the newlyweds, Rob and Mei, and Movieman too. It was lots of fun. I drank quite a bit and still bowled well. Mostly! We all had a great time and I got a free pair of socks. Mr. H won every game of course. Diva and The Baron couldn't make it on such short notice, but there will be more drunken bowling in my future. I love it and we don't do it often enough.

GHETTO JENGA

Saturday night, everyone came over including Diva, The Baron and the boys. Movieman, unfortunately had to work. Mr. H grilled burgers and we played our cheap wal-mart tumbling blocks game, which will now be known as Ghetto Jenga. It was still fun. We need to do more game nights more often. I want to play Robs Truth or Dare jenga, it looks like fun.

Farewell to Mei - for now

Sunday night we went to Robs for kabobs and yummy chow mein. We hung out and ate good food. Mr. H had to leave early to get him and the kids to bed. I stayed to hang out for a bit and some friend of Robs came over and we all listened to Movieman and all his stories. I have heard all his stories so many times, over the years, but he still tells them so good and makes everyone laugh.

BOREDOM

Although I should really be cleaning the house, I am taking silly quizzes instead.....

You are evil, but you haven't yet mastered the dark side.
Fear not though - you are on your way to world domination.

13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world.
20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences.
30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You've had a taste of success and true love, but you want more!
40+: You are a mature adult. You've been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax.

Welcome to the world little one

My friend Brig had her little girl Elish Kristin At 7:00pm EST, March 10th, 2006, weighing in at 9 pounds, 11 ounces, and 23.4 inches.

California

Was loads of fun! What should have taken under 6 hours to get there took closer to 8. There was construction at this spot where mapquest was telling us to change to like 3 different freeways within a miles distance and the signs were all screwy so we ended up going to wrong way for a bit. We got to our 1st hotel checked in, got room service ordered for Grama and the kids and then Mr. H and I took off for Medieval Times it was great, silly fun.

Sunday we woke up early to get to our Disney hotel, The Grand Californian - we checked in, gave them all our luggage and got our park tickets and headed out. We were to meet our friends at Space Mountain at 9:30 am. Luckily they were running late too, so we actually met up in line. They all went on Space Mountain, while Grama, Ry and I went to see "Honey, I Shrunk the Audience" where we ruined Ry for all 3-D viewing experiences in the future. Some parts scared her, so now she won't wear the glasses to any other movie. We then went to Fantasyland and found some princesses and met up w/ everyone later. Ry and Grama went to nap later on, and when we went to get them for the fireworks that night, Ry wasn't feeling well at all. So we skipped the fireworks, and just went to the restaurant in the hotel and then to bed.

Monday, was California Adventure Park. First thing we did was get a portrait of the kids drawn. Took much longer than I thought it would. All the girls had a Princess lunch scheduled for 12:20. It was raining this day, so when we showed up, we were told we could eat outside or wait til the next seating at 12:50. Even though it was covered outside, w/ Ry being sick we waited. We had our lunch while the boys played. We met back up and Daddy came w/ us to try some kiddie stuff. We saw some more characters, and the Muppets 3-D movie. We all met up after that. Grama and Ry went on their way, so we could all go on The Tower of Terror, which was awesome. I screamed the whole time, but I loved it. This park closed at 6, so we hung a bit as a group, then our friends went on their way. Grama and Ry went back to hotel and we took Taylor over to Disneyland for a couple more hours. Tried to go on Space Mountain, since I didn't go the day before, but it was closed. Finally took the monorail back to hotel. Mom suggested we go have Sushi and she'd get room service with the kids. We went to one of the other hotels and had sushi. It was the first place Mr. H had ever had sushi when we went many years before. It continued to rain all night and at about 4am the alarms in the hotel went off. I yelled at everybody to get out, but it was a false alarm. They didn't know if it was the rain or what set it off but everything was fine. A few more hours of sleep, then back to Disneyland.
Tuesday - we never met up w/ our friends again, dead cell phone, so we all did the smaller stuff for Ry and Taylor hadn't been on any of it yet. Filled up the kids autograph books from all the characters and stayed til the end. Saw the parade and back to bed.
Wednesday - checking out of hotel, but going to do some more shopping, so they will keep the car. Shopped and then went to the beach for a bit. Had lots of fun. Buried Taylor in the sand, played in the cold water and collected some shells. We finally left at about 3:30, which was silly, we should have stayed later so not to take 2 hours to get 40 miles in rush hour traffic. Oh well, we stopped at some outlets along the way and ate dinner and finally got back home after midnight.
That is the California update!

WAR!!

Sucked as usual. Not really. I started out not even wanting to go. It just isn't as fun as it used to be. We have the RV now though, and since my Mom already paid for it, mainly for this stuff, I would have felt guilty if I didn't use it.

We got there later than Mr. H wanted to Thursday night, moved the RV a bit so we had a little more space between our really cool "neighbors". Got in our garb and headed off to try to get some food. It was after 9 though, so most of the food merchants were closed. We got the last bit of Chinese food that was left. We then headed over to our friends camp, and watched Ry run around like a crazy girl for HOURS!

Up and down the carpets, between all the fire pits, falling on her face, being shy and just being so darn cute. She finally fell asleep all cozy in her big wagon about midnight. We stayed til about 2am and then trudged back to the other end of the park to the RV area. Mr. H drank too much and got sick that night - fun times!

Friday, slept in and then headed to Wal-Mart to get some food and flashlights. The generator wasn't working so we only had 1 little tap light that our very cool RV neighbors lent us. We came back a few hours later got dressed, went to get fried pickles and some sausage and then visited a few camps. Spent most of Friday night hanging with some kids by the fire listening to them make up and tell stories. They were really cool kids and it was fun. We wished Taylor had been there to meet the kids.

Saturday - Stephi and Todd were there when we got up. Got dressed for the day and Mr. H went off to fight. We headed down to merchants row where we ran into Mrs. Rhino, who had the meanest, bitchiest look on her face the whole time. Couldn't wait for them to leave - man she sucks! Wandered for a bit, ate more fried pickles, then went back to the RV to wait for a call from bitchy Rhino that the guys had moved the fighting to an easier spot for us to see. We got the call and walked down there, only to find out the fighting was done. Oh well!

I was waiting on Mr. H so he could hang w/ Ry for a bit before I took her back to Grandmas for the night, so we could party finally, w/ Steph and Todd! HA - party poopers - had to drink all day, while I was not drinking so I could drive home and back.

I took Ry home, showered quick and headed back. We had a venison dinner w/ some friends and then proceeded to go back to Merchants row for some shopping. Didn't get anything really. Finally went to the party camp, where Steph and Todd left (I still love them) We had Stephs niece w/ us and we hung out for a bit laughing at drunk people. We walked Cassie home and went back. On the way we ran into a sweet drunk girl from Finland who came back w/ her boyfriend to the party. We laughed real hard at some really messed up converstaions which I will not go into here. I'll just say we met Adrians soul mate and she is dating Sly.

Only 1 girl pissed me off this war so that is good, and no it wasn't you Steph.

How's that for an update Brig?

So Sirius....

My best friend Phillip ROCKS!!!!! It was so nice to listen to Howard again this morning, even for my short drive into work, and then tonight after the gym, I'll be able to listen to him again. Or the 80's station, or maybe Trucker Talk, so much to choose from.

It is too bad I ruined the surprise really. It would have been nice to go out to my car unexpectedly and see it there. Of course, Phillip being in the van when I woke up, gave some of it away. Then when he told me he couldn't bring my gift inside, I knew. He is so crazy like that.

I already have 1 song programmed in. At anytime, it can find this song on any station and let me listen to it. It's The Dead Kennedys. I love it.

I was going to go out my lunch break and play w/ it and get it mounted to my dash, but I wanted to write this instead. We can always work on it tonight once the kids are in bed.

Not having to listen to "FREE RADIO" anymore is going to be awesome. Not only did the morning show w/ Adam Corolla, that replaced Howard SUCK, but the crap they were playing at night sucked too. All this crap advertising for "FREE RADIO" was really annoying.

Technically, I still have "FREE RADIO" as I am paid up for a year. At first, I did think it was silly to pay for radio, but it's so much better now that I have it.

So, thank you again my wonderful friend. You are the greatest and I love you.

Tonight

Nothing much going on. Movieman came over, as usual, and after Mr. H got home from work, Movieman and I went to Robs to check out the new digs. The place still has to be decontaminated, but will be great once it's done. Plus, now Movieman will only be a mile away, so as he pointed out tonight he will not have an excuse to be late anymore.

Rob is going to be so much happier now, w/o the crummy roommate situation. Mei will be here soon and they will be married. I may have mentioned this before, but I CAN"T WAIT!!!!! I am so happy for the both of them, and she is the sweetest lady!

I should be in bed. I was so friggin' tired today, I talked myself right out of going to the gym after work. I will go Thursday. Hopefully, the sickness will be gone from DivaPrincess' house and she can meet up with me.

Nighty, night friends~

Asshat

Anybody other than me heard the word "asshat" before? Mr. H and Movieman were making fun of me for using that word on a comment to DivaPrincess about her sweetie. They had never heard it and wanted to know where it came from. Honestly, I have no idea, I just know I have heard it before.
I googled it and found this funny site though, so obviously other people have used this word and it is not something I just made up. There are several sites relating to the word "asshat" out there.

Ok, on to other things now. My baby is mostly better, wants to run around and be a crazy kid like normal. We took her to the park today since she was feeling better. I am still staying home w/ her tomorrow, just because I can. I already have the day off anyway, and I love to hang w/ her by myself.

More vomit..

Ry has been puking her guts up since 3am. Can't keep water or 7-up down. Poor baby. We are both off today and I am working on getting tomorrow and Wednesday off too. I know my husband, who is off tomorrow and my Mother in law who would be w/ her Wednesday will take care iof her just fine, but I want to be home taking care of my baby.

Her docs office said there are many viruses going around and could last 5-7 days, man I hope not!

My new friend Mei

I made this for my friend Rob and his love Mei. I know it is cheesy, but she is so sweet and makes him so happy, I don't care! He is the brother I never wanted and she will be the sister in law I do want.

Good times...

Rob was just over with some wine glasses and this yummy (for wine) cheap Australian wine. He was over to celebrate that his current roommates will soon be moving out and Phillip will be moving in. It was fun and we talked of all the plans he has to make his place all nice for his new love to arrive in March. I can't wait to meet her!

Other than that, nothing much else going on this weekend. Just me and Ry tomorrow hanging out. Sunday, Steph and I will go to the gym in the morning. I should also get this messy house cleaned up this weekend. Most of the Christmas stuff is packed but still a few items remain - hey it's not February yet, so I am doing ok.

Vomit

I got puked on for the 2nd time in my life the other day. Luckily, it was my child this time and not some drunk guy I was dancing with.

Too many "airplane" rides up in the air I guess, and I got shot in the eye w/ some puke! I did good in only gagging once or twice on our way into the bathroom to clean up.

U PEOPLE SUCK

The title of this blog. Was in reference to "Operation U People Suck" that my Mother was supposed to start well over a year ago on her husbands kids.

4 out of 5 of them are total assholes, and are the main reason I don't ever visit her, she always comes here. I must admit, they come by it honestly, they act like their Dad, but when he wants to he can actually be fun to be around, not so much the case with them.

So "Operation U People Suck" came up about a year or so ago, when my Mom was asking what it would take to get me to go visit. I told her she had to go a whole weekend, with his kids in and out of the house, as they are always there - hence why I won't visit - Anyway, I told her to go a whole weekend totally ignoring them, not even speaking to them if spoken to, just treating them as if they don't exist and that she couldn't tell anyone why. Those that know my Mother, know this is totally against her character and would be very hard for her to do. Which is why it still hasn't been done. I told her to just ask her husband for lessons, as this is how he has treated me in the past. Didn't speak one word to me for over 2 months, because I told him to shut up once when he was insulting.

This is for one of 2 reasons.

1 - his kids just suck and when I have visited in the past, I spent most of the time when we were at her house in the guest room, as one or more of his kids is always around and in the 8 years my Mother has been married, I haven't exchanged more than 10 words w/ 3 of them. They just act as though I don't exist, and after living in the house for a short time while I lived in Utah, I returned the sentiment. Other than the screaming match through my bedroom door w/ the oldest one day.

2- I wanted her to show her husband what it is like to treat his kids as crappy as he has treated me, and still does on occasion. She has never been anything but nice to these shitheads and they do not even deserve to be graced w/ her presence.

Yet, they get all the benefits of my Mother on a daily basis, and I get visited 4 times a year. She should be here, watching her grandchildren grow up, not there watching his. Of course, that will never happen, as he will never leave his kids, he just expects her to not be close to hers.

I know I am an adult now, w/ my own family, and I should get over it, but I can't.

Now she wants me to come there for Mothers Day weekend, instead of her coming here. It sucks, because now my Grandma, who of course wants to make her daughter happy, is saying she will buy our tickets for me and Ry to go there as that was my excuse not to go, beyond all the other crap. I have tried other ideas, like we all meet in San Francisco and stay in really nice hotels for free, but they aren't going for it. Of course, I could just say no, but I don't want to disappoint my Mom either.

Supposedly, she has already told her husband in the past I will only come visit if his kids stay away while I am there, and he has agreed to it. I do kind of want to test this and see if they will stick by it. Plus it would just piss his kids off too.

The strangest dream

I was taking a quick nap, before going to get my eyebrows ripped off my face at the salon.....

And this is my dream....

Mr. H and I were making dinner for my Dad and Stepmom, we had gotten the funniest shaped potatoes, some were huge, and twisty, some were tiny, and some even looked like little high heel shoes (guess which kind I picked for myself)

Then my parents disappear and there is my Mother in law sitting on a stool in our kitchen, talking about how she put Ryster down for another nap, because she was being grumpy.

Then there is some guy outside, still haven't figured out who he was, but apparently we hadn't seen him in quite some time. He comes in and sees Mr. H, while I am still in the kitchen. He's like "dude, you look different" my mother in law says something totally cheesy like, "he's turned into such a pretty man" So, I have to look out the little opening in the kitchen to see what is so different about him.

There stands my husband, in a short sleeve dress shirt, wearing a tie, w/ a little morman name badge. I said something along the lines of "holy shit, I need a picture of this" and then I woke up.

I think him dressing like a mormon missionary shocked me awake!

Happy New Year

Hope everyone had a great holiday. Ours was great. The kids got everything they wanted and Disneyland too. It was great to have my Mom here as always. "Uncle Phillip" was here when we got up, as he had worked all night and then came straight over. My Mother in law came over as soon as we woke up and called her so she could watch the kids open everything. In the afternoon, my sister in law came down w/ her boyfriend, his daughter and my nephew.

The Monday after Xmas we went to Santas Village w/ Uncle Phillip and Mary and the rest of the family. Phillip had gotten tickets through work. We all had a great time. Tuesday, I had to go back to work, leaving Grama at home w/ the kids. Tuesday night my Mom and I were going to go to a movie, but decided on dinner and shopping instead as the movie theater was pretty crowded. Got some new clothes courtesy of Mommy. Wednesday, I went to work at 6am, so I could get off work at 330pm. Grama was again home with the kids and sewed them some super cute bathrobes. We took her to the airport, where of course after dropping her off and being half way home, she calls to tell us the plane is late.

On New Years Eve, David, Rylee and I went to a friend of his from work. They bbq'd a fine meal and we played my new Trivial Pursuit Pop Culture DVD game that I got for Xmas. At midnight the kids were outside blowing whistles and screaming Happy New Year, we toasted w/ some Champagne and came home. It was fun. We haven't done much of anything for a few New Years now, so it was nice.

That's about it. Ry and I are off to Sams Club to get a few things, eat some lunch and then nap time. Daddy works till 1030 tonight and Taylor is at his Moms. Movieman, may grace us with his presence, we'll just have to wait and see.
